DRESS RULES
Fox Hills Golf Club maintains a dress code to ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience for all players, officials, and visitors. This policy applies to all persons using the Club — whether members, guests, or caddies — when on the course. A smart and neat standard of casual wear is expected at all times.
MEN
Acceptable:
Collared sports shirt
Tailored shorts or cargo shorts
Long trousers
Golf shoes with soft spikes
Clean and tidy sports shoes
Sport socks (predominantly white)
Not Acceptable:
Shirts without collars
Singlets or sleeveless shirts
Flannelette shirts
Industrial workwear
Board shorts or football shorts
Metal spikes
Sports socks (not predominantly white)
WOMEN

LOCAL RULES

All members and associates must report to the Pro Shop before teeing off or using the practice area and obtain a course ticket. Children under 7 years are not permitted on the course unless sanctioned by the Golf Committee. The penalty for breaching any local rule is two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play.
Out of bounds includes all areas outside the course boundaries, the clubhouse and its gardens, defined car parks, the greenkeeper’s facility, the 7th hole while playing the 8th hole, and all areas marked with black-topped white pegs. Immovable obstructions include protective screens, power poles, irrigation satellite control boxes, water level markers, course marking stakes, sprinkler heads, construction roads and formed pathways, soil bins, ball washers, all staked trees, and distance markers (Rule 24.2 applies). If a sprinkler head interferes with a player’s line of play within two metres of the putting green and the ball is within two metres of the sprinkler head, relief may be taken without penalty.
If a ball strikes a power line traversing a hole, it must be replayed from the same spot without penalty. Course markings are as follows: white stakes/lines indicate ground under repair (GUR), white pegs with black tops indicate out of bounds, and the garden area on the 15th hole is also marked. When preferred lies are in play, the ball position must be marked before the ball is moved, with a penalty of one stroke for non-compliance. The practice area at the rear of the 9th green, as defined by a blue line, may be treated as ground under repair.
In the event of an electrical storm, a warning siren will be sounded and all play must cease immediately. Ball hunting and collecting (fishing) from Fox Hills Golf Course’s creek and dams is strictly forbidden, and a 3-minute ball search rule applies for lost balls. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disciplinary action.
