Meet the Fox’s Lair Professional Team

 

Glen Pollard P.G.A

At 16 and reputedly one of Australia’s youngest ever golf professionals, Glen was a multiple Pro-Am Winner and competed on the Australasian Tour until accepting a position of Fox Hills Golf Club Resident Professional in 1995.

Glen established the Fox Hills Golf Academy in 1996 which has been credited with aiding the emergence of numerous junior talents, many of which have progressed into professional careers.

In 2003, with Glen Pollard in a coaching capacity, Fox Hills Golf Club were crowned Division 1 – Major Pennant Champions, the common yardstick which determines the #1 ranked team in NSW.

In 2010, Glen in conjunction with Jamie Atkinson, became pioneers in the area of Indoor Club-Fitting facilities, building their own on-site Tech Centre which has been copied by many others since, but seldom surpassed.

In 2015, the Fox’s Lair P/L expanded their range of services to include Golf Course Management, which encompasses the Agronomy Crew who are responsible for the perennial outstanding conditioning of our golf course. 
Jamie Atkinson P.G.A

Jamie is a Fox Hills Golf Club junior who by the age of 18 had remarkably worked at Fox Hills in the capacities of Golf Pro Shop Assistant, Greenkeeper and Barman.

In 1996, under incoming Professional Glen Pollard, Jamie undertook a Trainee Pro apprenticeship which he completed in 1998 with distinction.

The Holden Scramble, the PGA’s flagship event, saw Jamie qualify for the National Final in 3 consecutive years from 1999 with a personal best of 3rd place in 2001.

In 2003, Jamie was appointed Head Coach of the Hills Sports Golf Program, a position he held in earnest for in excess of 10 years. In that time Jamie mentored multiple students to debut at both state and national representation, as well as overseeing many others achieve their personal bests.

In 2010, after 15 years’ service at the club, became a partner in Fox’s Lair, and oversaw the construction of the innovative Golf Tech Centre.

In 2015, alongside Glen Pollard expanded their business interests to include an Agronomy Team who are contracted to maintain Fox Hills Golf Club to the highest of levels.
